I never knew olive oil could taste like THIS. I’ve tasted lots of olive oils over the years, many which were quite good. However, overall, I had come to expect all olive oils to be somewhat heavy and unctuous, no matter the taste. But, now, having savored both varieties of fresh-harvested Deliba EVOO for the first time, everything has changed. I don’t have the expert’s vocabulary to describe the taste or sensation of olive oil (or wine or coffee). All I can say is how pleasantly light and refreshing this is. What a delightful surprise! Bravo, Deliba! Unfortunately, I now find myself craving a spoonful or two (one of each variety) at odd times throughout the day. And, now knowing my current stock will run out sooner than planned, I am already looking forward to the next harvest.
I should add that Deliba came highly recommended to me by a gourmet and food expert, with a special love of premium Italian foods.
Finally, I want to heartily thank Gianfranco for his personal attention to my concerns and typically American impatience with shipping delays. He kept assuring me that the good things in life are worth waiting for. His family’s EVOO definitely qualifies.
